Inheriti offers two different protection plan solutions: - Data Backup - Digital Inheritance In this article we explain what a protection plan is, the different characteristics per plan, and the main differences between both plans. What are protection plans? Protection plans safeguard your valuable data, whether through a highly secure Data Backup plan or by transferring confidential information to others with a Digital Inheritance plan. The potential applications of protection plans are extensive and diversified. We encourage you to explore the wide spectrum of possibilities and utilize Inheriti to protect what is of value to you. What is a Data Backup plan? Data Backup plans effectively safeguard and protect your secret data, preventing potential loss from hardware failure, cyberattacks, accidental deletion, or a forgetful mind. Secret data can be any information the plan owner wants to have available when needed, for example: - Seed phrases: For accessing cryptocurrency wallets. - Login credentials: Usernames and passwords for various accounts. - PIN codes: For bank cards or secure devices. - 2FA codes: Two-factor authentication codes for added security. - Access to personal data: Private documents and photos What is a Digital Inheritance plan? Digital Inheritance plans are designed to transfer secret data to trusted individuals, such as family members or business partners, when the plan owner is no longer available. Secret data can include any information the plan owner values and wants to transfer, fro example: - Cryptocurrency wallet seed phrases: Ensuring heirs can access digital assets. - Credit card details: For managing financial accounts. - PIN codes: For accessing secure devices or accounts. - Trade secrets: Confidential business information. - Access to photos and family recipes: Preserving cherished memories and traditions. What is the comparison between Data Backup and Digital Inheritance plan? Both plans are first-in-class and highly secure. Each plan type is designed to cater your specific needs.

Secret Data

What is Secret Data? Secret data in a protection plan refers to sensitive and confidential information, such as cryptocurrency wallet seed phrases, credit card details, PIN codes, trade secrets, photos, family recipes, or and any other data that is of value to you. What Secret Data can be safeguarded in a protection plan? Data Backup plans and Digital Inheritance plans cover identical data. The plan includes pre-designed templates for: - Plain text - Private keys - Seed phrases - Recovery codes - API keys - PIN codes - Account login details - Payment card information. When is the Secret Data unlocked? Secret Data is unlocked after completing the merging process and all merging requirements set by the plan owner are met. More information about the merging process of a protection plan: About the Merging process. Who can see my Secret Data when a plan is merged? Only once the merging process is complete and all merging requirements set by the plan owner are met, the secret data will then be made visible to the Merge Authority and any other individuals present. Shareholders utilizing SafeKey Pro will be physically present during the merging and unlocking of the secret data. SafeKey Mobile shareholders do not need to physically be present to contribute to the merging process. Does Inheriti have access to my Secret Data? No. Only the plan owner knows what secret data is locked in the protection plan and the only way to unlock it is by merging the protection plan shares. Inheriti and its employees do not have access to your Secret Data or protection plan shares. Even the system administrators of the servers of our Inheriti platform don’t have any access to your data and information. This includes the inability for Inheriti to recover your plan share or any secret data! See our audit report for verification.

Preparations before starting

What are preparations before creating an Inheritance plan? To help you go smoothly through the process of creating a protection plan, there are actions and questions you can prepare yourself: 1. Watch the video tutorials about creating a protection plan: videos 2. Answer the following questions: - Do you want to create a Data Backup plan or an Inheritance plan? - What Secret Data do you want to protect? - Who will be your shareholders and who will you appoint as Merge Authority. - What storage method do you want to use for each shareholder: hardware device (SafeKey Pro) or mobile app (SafeKey Mobile)? - Do you want to involve a legal professional as Merge Authority? 1. If relevant, timely purchase the needed amount of SafeKey Pros devices. What do I need to have available when I create a protection plan? Before creating your protection plan, make sure you have these three things readily available: - PC and internet connection. Ensure your device is up-to-date and protected. - Login credentials of your Inheriti account. If you don’t have one yet, you need your Name and Email to create an Inheriti account. - Sufficient SafeKey Pro devices to store the shares of your shareholders and / or the downloaded the SafeKey Mobile app on your mobile device for the storage of your share. Creating and managing an Inheriti Account

What is the relation between SafeID and the Inheriti Account? The login data of the Inheriti account is stored and secured in the SafeID application. SafeID is a registration login tool, meaning you can log in with your SafeID credentials (email and password) in multiple SafeTech platforms and applications, like Inheriti and the SafeKey Mobile App. Storing the login data separately from the Inheriti Service reduces the risk of fraud and identity theft. A SafeID account is automatically created when you create an Inheriti account. You can also create a SafeID account directly in the SafeID App How to create an Inheriti Account? To create an Inheriti Account, visit the Inheriti platform and initiate the registration process. During registration, you will be requested to provide your email address and a secure password. A single SafeID account is created in the background to streamline your login process for all Inheriti applications, including the Inheriti platform and SafeKey Mobile app. This eliminates the need for multiple sets of login credentials, they all use the same email and password. What if I have forgotten my Inheriti Account password? If you lost your Inheriti login information, you can initiate the password reset process. Simply click on the “Forgot Password” link on the login page and follow the instructions provided. You’ll be requested to enter the email address associated with your account, and a password reset link will be sent to you via email. Follow the link to reset your password and regain access to your account. What if I cannot access my email address or when my email address is not correct or not existing anymore? You can request on the Inherit Service and on the SafeID application for a reset of your password. How to change password or email address of my Inheriti Account? To change your password or email address associated with your Inheriti Account, you can access your SafeID profile through the “My Inheriti” page or directly through the SafeID website. Remember that any changes made to your SafeID profile will apply to the Inheriti platform and the SafeKey Mobile app, as they share the same SafeID for the login credentials. How do I delete my Inheriti Account? To delete your Inheriti Account, navigate to the “My Inheriti” page and click the “Delete Inheriti Account” button. Keep in mind that by deleting your Inheriti Account, you’ll lose access to all the protection plans. Your account can be reactivate within the next 6 months. After 6 months, all your data and protection plans will be permanently destroyed. For immediate deletion, click Permanently delete. You will be logged out and lose access to your Inheriti Account. Deleting your Inheriti Account will not affect your SafeID account. How do I delete my personal information from the Inheriti Account? Deleting your personal information on your Inheriti Account is essentially the same as deleting the Inheriti Account itself. If you delete your Inheriti Account, your SafeID account will still be available.

Use of SafeKey Mobile app

What is the SafeKey Mobile app? The SafeKey Mobile App enables you to securely store your protection plan shares on a mobile device. The plan owner decides whether shareholders and merge authorities utilize either the SafeKey Mobile app or a SafeKey Pro device. What are the technical requirements to use the SafeKey Mobile app? For working with the SafeKey Mobile app you need: - Up to date mobile device with iOS or Android operating systems with camera. - In case the plan owner chooses for the verification of share ownership: - Either on the same mobile device with a synced email account to use the verification link sent to you in the Notification email. - Or on an additional device with synced email account to scan QR codes with your SafeKey Mobile app. - Stable internet connection. Where can I download the SafeKey Mobile app? The SafeKey Mobile app can be downloaded in the Apple Store (for iOS users) and Google Play Store (for Android users). How can I check if I have the latest update of the SafeKey Mobile app? You can check for updates in the menu of the SafeKey Mobile app: About SafeKey > Check updates. How secure are my shares on the SafeKey Mobile app? The shares on your SafeKey Mobile app contain fragmented and encrypted data. Even when somebody gains unauthorized access, the secret data stored in the protection plan cannot be revealed. The claiming and uploading of shares is protected with your PIN code. So even if your mobile device or app is compromised (hacked, stolen or lost), the shares cannot be used to merge a protection plan. How to secure my shares on my SafeKey Mobile app? - Keep the security of your mobile device up to date. - Safeguard your SafeKey Mobile PIN code. - Choose the Verify Ownership options that garanties the highest security for your situation. - If ownership is verified by user, securely store the Notification email with the QR code and link in it to verify the shares during claiming. What if I lo~~o~~se access to my SafeKey Mobile app? If you lose access to your SafeKey Mobile app, secret data may still be unlocked based on the merging threshold and selected backup shares. This information is available to the plan owner. It is recommended to notify the plan owner so they can create a new protection plan if desired. Re-download the SafeKey Mobile app. Please take note that you will need to re-claim all shares and the possibility to do so depends on the measures and choices taken previously. <link to KB How can I make my share re-claimable after downloading to my SafeKey Mobile app? > What if I don't know my login email address or password anymore? SafeKey Mobile uses the login credentials of your SafeID account. In the unfortunate situation that you lose your password, you can reset them on your SafeID account. Inheriti or its employees do not have access to your SafeKey Mobile and SafeID account password. What if I forgot my SafeKey Mobile PIN code? First time you use the SafeKey Mobile app you are asked to create a PIN code. In the unfortunate situation that you lose your PIN code, you can go to Settings and Reset PIN code. Please take note that with resetting your PIN code all shares will be deleted and you will need to re-claim the shares. How come plan shares disappear from my SafeKey Mobile app? If some plan shares are no longer available on your SafeKey Mobile app, it indicates that the connected protection plans have been deleted by the owner. How come not all plan shares are available anymore when I reinstall the SafeKey Mobile app? When you reinstall the mobile app, you will need to re-claim all your plan shares. When in the claiming process you additionally have to verify ownership, then you need to use the QR code or link sent to you in the Notification email when appointed as a shareholder. Shares that are part of protection plans that are deleted by the plan owner will not be available anymore. How do I delete shares from my SafeKey Mobile app? The only way to delete shares on your SafeKey Mobile app at the moment, is to either set a new PIN code or delete and download the app again. Please note that in such a situation, all protection plan shares must be re-claimed. Use of SafeKey Pro device

What is a SafeKey Pro? SafeKey Pro is a specialized hardware device that provides robust offline storage for your plan shares. Using a SafeKey Pro ensures that your shares are physically isolated from the internet, protecting them from cyber attacks and unauthorized online access. More information on the SafeKey website. What port does the SafeKey Pro have? The current version of SafeKey PRO has a USB-A port. The next version will have a USB-C port. What do I need a SafeKey Pro for? The plan creator decides the storage method for the shares of the shareholders and Merge Authority. One of the options is storage on a hardware device with the SafeKey Pro. Each shareholder requires a SafeKey Pro device, which must be purchased by the plan owner prior to creating a protection plan. What are the technical requirements for working with SafeKey Pro device? For working with the SafeKey Pro device you need: - Computer with: - USB-A port - One of the following (Chromium based browsers), such as: - Google Chrome - Brave Browser - Chromium - Ungoogled Chromium - Microsoft Edge Not possible are Safari and Mozilla Firefox. - Stable internet connection. How much shares can a SafeKey Pro store? The amount of shares you can store on the SafeKey Pro depends on the amount of text added in the subscriptions of the separate shares. An indication for the range of the amount of shares is: 30-80 shares. Please note that it is not possible at the moment to delete separate shares from your SafeKey Pro device. What more can I do with my SafeKey Pro? Besides storing protection plan shares, your SafeKey Pro also has a 2FA functionality and can be used for password less login. Can I make backups of my shares on SafeKey Pro? Backups of your shares can be made through the SafeKey Desktop What happens with my share on my SafeKey Pro when a plan owner deletes their plan? If a plan owner cancels their protection plan, your share will remain visible on your SafeKey Pro, but it will no longer be usable. How do I delete shares from my SafeKey Pro? The only way to delete shares on your SafeKey Pro at the moment, is to reset the SafeKey. Please take note that in this situation all protection plan shares will be deleted. Consider making backups of the shares on your SafeKey Pro. How do I secure my shares on my SafeKey Pro? - Safeguard your SafeKey Pro and make sure you know what to do with it when the time comes. - Safeguard your PIN code. How secure are my shares on the SafeKey Pro? The shares on your SafeKey Pro contain fragmented and encrypted data. The claiming and uploading of shares is protected with your PIN code and the need to physically touch the button on the SafeKey Pro. So even if your SafeKey Pro device is compromised, the secret data cannot be revealed and the shares can not be used in a merging process. How can I change my PIN code of my SafeKey Pro? If you lost your PIN code you can set a new PIN code in the SafeKey Desktop. Please contact Inheriti Customer service to help you set a new PIN code. What if I loose my SafeKey Pro device? The effect of loosing your SafeKey Pro device depends on: - The settings of the protection plan: merging threshold and number of recovery shares. - The presence of backups of your share. As long as there are more shares available than the minimum required amount to open the protection plan, the secret data can still be unlocked. Information about the share threshold is available to the plan owner. If the merging threshold cannot be reached, then the secret data remains locked. Kindly reach out to the plan owner, so they will be able to determine the best course of action.

Pricing and Payment

Where can I find the pricing? The Pricing of the protection plan is presented on the Inheriti website. What are payment options? The payment is done with Stripe payment service provider. Stripe supports various currencies and automatically performs the conversion to Euros based on the current exchange rate. Payments options in Stripe are: VISA, American Express and MasterCard card, IDEAL, EPS and Bancontact. Can I pay with crypto? Crypto payments are not currently accepted, but SHA vouchers can be purchased using SHA tokens, the utility token of Safe Haven. The SHA voucher also offers a 5% discount on the total price of the protection plan. Learn more about all SHA holders benefits. Can I get an invoice of my protection plan? When you buy a protection plan, you automatically receive an invoice for your personal or business administration by email. In My Inheriti you can adjust your personal details and you will find an overview of all previous invoices, to redownload at your convenience. Can I get a Refund? Please note that all payments for your protection plan are final and cannot be refunded. Once payment is made, the plan will be executed on the blockchain and cannot be cancelled or reversed through the smart contract. Please understand that refunds are not possible and there is no option for withdrawing from the plan creation process. Refunds will only be granted in the event of a technical issue that was not known to the user. Force majeure will not be accepted as grounds for a refund.
